Announcements 

Each Monday, all parents should be getting Progress Report emails from Apex Learning if your child is taking courses in that system. This report is full of information and we can help interpret it if needed!  If you have not received report, please check you Junk or Spam email for “NoReply at Apex Learning”; the subject line would be “Progress for (student’s name)” or

similar heading. If you don’t have it, call 706-935-0675 or email us and we will update your student’s profile. 


Information on Mid-Term Conferences:

Students will need to check their Announcements on the Apex Dashboard and/or our Google Classroom for information about signing up for conferences with teachers. 

Mid-Term Conferences for all Catoosa Online Academy students will be held October 7-10.  Students must meet with a COA teacher at the COA Lab OR at one of the schools according to the following schedule:

Catoosa Online Academy Lab: Monday – Thursday, Oct. 7-10, 8 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. 

LFO High School Student Success Center – Monday, Oct. 7, 8:15 a.m. - 2:15 p.m.

Heritage High School Media Center – Wednesday, Oct. 9, 11:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Ringgold High School – by appointment with Mrs. Moeller

Middle School World Studies classes at HMS and LMS will meet one on one with Mrs. White; she will coordinate these conferences at each of these schools during class daily until Oct. 10. 

The students meeting the following criteria during Mid-Term Conferences will have their names entered in a drawing to win a gift card to AMC Theatres – 10 students will win!!!  

Eligible students for the drawing must:

  • Come for your mid-term conference Oct. 7-10
  • Be “in the green” in all subjects for this 9 weeks 
  • Show us that you are following the Catoosa Online Academy on social media: Facebook or Twitter

Information on Study Nights:
Students who are taking a course that requires the state End of Course Test in December OR those who have progress bars in yellow or red should plan on attending the COA lab in November for extended time to work and get the help you may need to succeed. Teachers will be present to help with problems in the content, provide tutoring for the EOCs, and to help students stay focused for a period of time to get work completed and caught up in coursework. Pizza, snacks, and beverages will be available for students during these study nights. The planned dates and times are as follows: Thursday, November 14; 5:00 – 7:30 PM (EOC concentration will be ELA and Science) Tuesday, November 19; 5:00 – 7:30 PM (EOC concentration will be Math and Social Studies)

*The state EOC is required when students are enrolled in any of the following 8 courses: 9th Grade Literature/Composition, American Literature/Composition (11th grade English), Algebra I, Geometry, Physical Science, Biology, US History, and Economics. *
